For the one I love

Jean card with handmade stitches, little white shell and artificially aged dictionary page with the 'Love' word

My first (and second) Halloween pumpkin

This year I carved Halloween pumpkin for the 1-st time in my life. Thanks to my mother-in-laws advices and internet the result was quite good. I carved first 'trial' one on Tuesday and made a few photos of it. After spending 3 days in the fridge it still looked quite good on Friday, but I decided to carve another one.
My 2-nd pumpkin (on the left, with an owl). Behind it angry face eating poor little tomato was made by my mother-in-law.

2 photos of my 1-st attempt. By the way, craft knife is really good for pumpkin carving. You just need to make sure that pumpkin wall width is less then the length of knife blade.

And my Halloween make-up )))

Background experiments

Got myself 2 distress inks by Tim Holtz - vintage photo and fired brick. The range of colours they've got is fantastic..about 37 colours. They are gorgeous http://www.timholtz.com/ink.htm Was inspired by them and made backgrounds for 2 beautiful cards 'Ballerina kitty' and 'Vintage chick'. They now live with my mum and dad.

Funny card for my little sister )

My special handmade wedding ring pillow

It took me about a month to make this special ring pillow for our Cyprus wedding in October, 2010. But I really enjoyed making it as I put all my love and soul into it.

Summer inspired quilled daffodils

So graceful and elegant! But takes so long to make as each flower is made of 6 petals and each petal is made of 3 quilled rolls. Not so easy for the beginner )) But it was worth it.

Father's day card

Making cards for men is always a little bit more difficult than for women. I made this card for my father-in-law. I think a little bit of origami and magazine letters really look good on this card.

My first cardmaking experience

My first attempt of quilling. Simple, but nice. Made in June, 2011
